Celebrity watches – we take a look at what the stars are wearing!
Rolex, Omega, IWC, Casio or Timex – celebrity watches can be more surprising than you might expect. Some choose luxury models worth hundreds of thousands of złoty, others go for iconic, affordable classics. In this post we take a look at what the stars of film, sport, music and television wear – and which models from the WestWatches range may echo their style.
Celebrity watches – a topic that always made the headlines
Watches have always been something more than just a practical tool for telling time. In the world of film, music, sport and media they often became part of the image of the biggest stars – a detail that could say more about its owner than an entire outfit. Some models achieved iconic status precisely because they appeared on the wrists of icons: actors, athletes, musicians and television personalities. Sometimes a single film, a single gala or one characteristic photograph was enough for a particular watch to spark enormous interest, with its popularity and value rising noticeably.
No wonder that celebrities' choices have fascinated watch and style enthusiasts for years. People love to check what their favourite stars wear – whether they choose luxurious Swiss watches, sporty classics, vintage models, or surprisingly affordable watches available to almost anyone. In this post we look at a few interesting examples from the wrists of major international names, but also of well-known figures from our own Polish scene. Because celebrity watches are not only a story of prestige and great brands, but also a tale of character, personality and a style that can inspire.
Watches of global icons – from Rolex to IWC and Omega
In any ranking of celebrity watches Rolex is essentially a brand that cannot be left out – it is the most obvious symbol of luxury, success and high status. For decades, watches with the crown on the dial have appeared on the wrists of actors, athletes, musicians, businesspeople and television stars, which is why today almost every famous person can at some point be associated with a Rolex. Models such as the Datejust, Daytona, Submariner or Day-Date have long moved beyond the world of watchmaking and become part of pop culture – a recognisable mark of prestige that needs no further comment. Rolex captures the imagination, because for many people it is not just a watch, but a symbol of success achieved, of good taste and of a place in the world in which a detail on the wrist can say a great deal.
So let us move on to less popular brands. In the case of IWC Schaffhausen, one of the strongest contemporary associations with the world of film is Bradley Cooper – the Hollywood actor who has served as the brand's ambassador for years. His image fits the character of IWC perfectly: elegant, mature, self-assured, yet without excessive ostentation. Cooper shows that a watch can be not only a luxury accessory, but also an element of personal style – calm, masculine and based on quality rather than on a flashy effect.

The IWC Pilot Spitfire Chronograph IW377719 is a watch that fits Bradley Cooper's elegant, cinematic style perfectly – it combines an aviation character, Swiss precision and masculine class without unnecessary ostentation.
For years, Omega has been strongly associated with George Clooney – one of Hollywood's most recognisable actors and, at the same time, the brand's ambassador since 2007. Interestingly, his relationship with Omega did not begin solely with an advertising contract, but has a more personal, family dimension. As a child Clooney was fascinated by the cosmic history of the Speedmaster and the watches worn by astronauts, and an old Omega that belonged to his father, Nick Clooney, also became an important symbol for him. Such a story fits the actor's image perfectly – elegant, calm, classic, but without excessive ostentation. That is why the Omega on George Clooney's wrist does not look like a random luxury accessory, but like a natural part of his style: timeless, cinematic and highly considered.
In a nod to George Clooney's elegant, cinematic style, the OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra 15’007 Gauss 41.5 mm 231.10.42.21.03.004 Limited Edition is a watch that combines the brand's prestige with a more modern, technical character.
And if we are talking about Omega, we cannot fail to mention the greatest celebrity who made this watch famous – of course, the on-screen agent 007. Popular watches from films, however, are a completely different topic.
Polish celebrity watches – what do our stars go for?
Polish stars also like to show that a watch can be something more than just a practical accessory – it often becomes part of an image, a signature mark or a subtle statement about the owner's style. Iga Świątek is associated with an elegant Rolex Datejust, a model that fits her class, composure and sporting precision perfectly. Bogusław Linda, for years connected with the Epos brand as its ambassador, demonstrates a more classic, Swiss approach to watchmaking – mature, masculine and free of excess.

If you want to echo the style and class of the legendary Polish actor Bogusław Linda, the Epos Passion Automatic 41mm 3501.132.20.15.30 will be a very fitting choice from our range. It is an elegant Swiss automatic with a timeless character, combining masculine simplicity, a striking black dial and discreet prestige without unnecessary ostentation.
In the world of media, Kuba Wojewódzki is a particularly interesting case – for years regarded as a devoted fan of TAG Heuer, and today associated, among others, with the IWC Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar IW392104 – a mechanically complex chronograph with a perpetual calendar whose value can reach around 180 thousand złoty.
Another well-known figure from the TVN station who makes no secret of his love of watches is Marcin Prokop – his wrist often features models from the Swiss brand DOXA, including the stylish DOXA Classic Vintage Fusion. These examples show just how varied celebrities' watch choices can be: from sporty elegance, through the classics, all the way to advanced mechanical complications and models with a distinct character.
The DOXA Vintage 624.10.022.10 is a proposal for those who like watches with a distinctly classic character but do not want to give up everyday comfort and solid Swiss craftsmanship. The model fits the elegant style known from television perfectly – it is understated, timeless and versatile enough to suit both a jacket and less formal outfits.
Celebrity watches – not always worth millions!
Robert Lewandowski, at the Ballon d'Or gala in Paris in 2022, proved that good style does not always have to bear the label of a luxury manufacture. Although his tuxedo was valued at around 14,000 złoty, on the footballer's wrist appeared a far more affordable accessory – a gold Casio A158WETG-9AEF, the iconic model from the Casio Vintage line worth around 250 złoty.
This choice perfectly illustrates a fashion paradox: one of the best footballers in the world, present at one of the most prestigious sporting galas, opted not for a watch worth tens of thousands, but for a simple, recognisable and slightly nostalgic model available to almost anyone. This is exactly why Lewandowski's style is so interesting – it combines elegance with ease and shows that the character of an outfit is often built not by the price of accessories, but by the idea behind wearing them.

If Robert Lewandowski's style at the Ballon d'Or gala inspired you to choose a gold watch with a retro feel, an interesting proposal from our range is the CASIO VINTAGE 35 mm A168WG-9EF UNISEX. It is a model that beautifully echoes the aesthetic of the iconic Casio Vintage – it has a gold bracelet, a digital display and a characteristic, slightly nostalgic design that has been coming back into fashion for years.
A similar fondness for Casio watches can be seen in Anna Lewandowska, although in her case the choice is more sporty and practical. During training Robert's wife often reaches for Casio G-Shock watches, priced at around 500 złoty. This is a series known for its durability, shock resistance and dynamic character, which is why it suits the trainer's active lifestyle perfectly.

For fans of sporty style in a more subtle form, a great choice will be the G-Shock Women 40mm GMA-P2100ST-7AER. It is a proposal that echoes Anna Lewandowska's training style: practical, comfortable, yet stylish enough to fit easily into everyday, urban outfits as well.
Casio watches are also loved by the great pop music star Ed Sheeran, who can boast a collection of timepieces worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. At concerts and in everyday life he wears an inexpensive Casio G-Shock in yellow, costing around 150–300 złoty. Why? Because it is a style he likes – indestructible, functional and iconic.
Another huge watch enthusiast is Mark Wahlberg, the American actor, producer and former rapper known from films such as "Ted", "Heart of Clayton" and "The Combat", who owns an enormous collection of luxury watches worth as much as 10 million dollars! Paradoxically, even though it contains such gems as the Patek Philippe Nautilus Tiffany, in everyday life, while playing with his family in the pool but also on the red carpet, he wears an inexpensive Timex Ironman costing around 50 dollars.

Mark Wahlberg's watch choice shows that even a collector of luxury models can appreciate a simple, sporty timepiece, and the Timex Ironman E30 TW5K95800 in our range fits this vibe perfectly.
A watch like a star's? Choose a model that suits your own style
Celebrity watches show that style has no single price and no single formula. Sometimes it is a luxurious Rolex, Omega or IWC, other times an iconic Casio or a sporty Timex – what matters most is that the watch is matched to the outfit, suits the personality, the occasion and the way of life. In our wide range you will find watches with very different characters, so you can choose a model that echoes the style of your favourite actor, athlete or media personality.
You can go for a watch inspired by the choice of a famous star, or even reach for the very same specific model if it best reflects your taste. As the examples from the world of celebrities show, price is not always what counts – far more important is choosing a watch that you truly like and in which you can feel good every day. That is exactly why our online watch shop WestWatches is a good place to find a model matched not only to the trends, but above all to your own style.

316L, 904L and surgical steel – what is your watch made of?
Most steel watches, from affordable models to luxury constructions, are made of 316L steel. 904L steel contains more nickel, chromium and molybdenum, and therefore offers higher corrosion resistance, but in itself it does not mean greater scratch resistance. The term “surgical steel”, in turn, does not point to one strictly defined alloy. In watches it most often refers to 316L, but without a specific material designation it may simply be a marketing name. If you are choosing a watch for years, look therefore not only at the words “stainless steel”, but also at the grade of steel, which components are made of the given material and how they are finished.
Japanese or Swiss watches? We compare quality, movements and prices
If you are wondering whether Japanese or Swiss watches are better, the name of the country alone will not give you a good answer. In both cases you will find simple models for relatively little money, solid mid-range automatics and designs belonging to the world's watchmaking high end. Far more about quality will be told to you by the specific movement, the way the case and bracelet are made, the crystal, quality control, accuracy and price. Check how Japanese watches really differ from Swiss ones and what to pay attention to before you choose a model for yourself.
The lifespan of a quartz watch – how long does it really last, and when is it no longer worth repairing?
We value quartz watches above all for their accuracy, convenience and modest day-to-day demands. That does not mean, however, that they can run indefinitely and need nothing more than a new battery once every few years. Over time, the components of the movement itself also wear out, and the moment a watch starts giving trouble can look completely different depending on the model, the way it is used and the availability of parts. So how long can a quartz watch last, what wears out in it most often and when does repair still make sense? Check what its lifespan really depends on.
The second hand on a watch – why does it jump, move smoothly or stop?
The way the seconds hand moves can tell you a lot about a watch's movement, but it is not an infallible test. A single distinct jump per second most often points to quartz, several small movements per second are typical of a mechanical movement, and an almost continuous glide is associated with Spring Drive. There are exceptions, however: there is a quartz watch with a sweeping seconds hand, and a mechanical watch that makes exactly one jump per second. What is more, a stopped hand does not have to mean a fault. Check how to read these signals and when you really need a watchmaker's help.
How do you set an automatic watch? Date, time and time zone 21:00–3:00
An automatic watch does not need a battery, but it does require a little knowledge from its owner. Setting the time or date seems simple, yet the wrong moment or the wrong way of using the crown can affect how the movement works. Many questions concern changing the date at night, moving the hands backwards and restarting a watch after a longer break. Check how to set an automatic watch correctly, what to pay attention to with the crown and why people often talk about particular caution between 9:00 pm and 3:00 am.
Water resistance 3 ATM – what does it mean and what can you do with it?
3 ATM water resistance means the watch is prepared above all for rain, accidental splashes and brief contact with water during everyday activities. It does not mean that you can swim with it, shower in it or submerge it to a depth of 30 metres. It is precisely the “30 m” marking that most often misleads. It is the result of a pressure test carried out under controlled conditions, not a declared working depth. So if you see 3 ATM, 3 bar or Water Resistant 30 m on the case back or in the specification, treat the watch as resistant to everyday moisture, but not as a watch for water activities.
Rolex-style watches – the best alternatives to the Submariner, Explorer and Datejust
For years Rolex has been one of the most important style benchmarks in the watch world, but its price is not within everyone's reach. That is why it is worth looking at watches similar to Rolex and models inspired by its styling, which offer their own character, solid build quality and much more affordable prices. We are not talking about counterfeits here, but about legitimate watches from other brands that draw on similar solutions and design language. Check out watches inspired by Rolex's style and choose the model that suits your style and budget.
A bronze watch – why does each one change over time?
A bronze watch stands out because its appearance changes along with its owner. The case gradually darkens, turns matte and develops a patina, so two identical models can look completely different after just a few months. This is the greatest advantage of bronze, but also a trait you need to accept before buying. If you expect a watch that keeps its factory shine for years, steel may be a better direction. If, on the other hand, you like vintage looks, signs of use and the natural ageing of a material, bronze gives an effect that is hard to achieve in any other metal.
